The colors of our birthstones are based on gemstone lore. We came as close as we could to matching in glass the semi-precious gems associated with specific months. Qualities of people born in a particular month are printed in a circle on the stone. Each stone is approximately 1.25" in diameter. The glass stones are translucent jewel colors except for June (Opal White for Pearl) and October (Irridized Opal White for Opal.)
